[edit] it's not possible to add 3 bet with the pt database

this is pot limit again
only 4 hands with villain

Poker Room skin
Pot Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.25
5 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $48.20
Hero: $23.75
Button: $24.25
SB: $43.45
BB: $13.75

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with [Qd] [As]
UTG calls, Hero raises to $1.25, 3 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: [Kc] [5d] [9h] ($3, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2.3, UTG calls.

Turn: [Ah] ($7.6, 2 players)
UTG bets $5

Are we calling here and evaluating river? This could be something like 99, 55, K9, A9 which have me beat and maybe KJ, KQ, KT which i have beat.

reraise the flop, call a shove?
as played call turn and evaluate river?

Although villain is pretty loose (~35/7 after 30 hands) I've never seen a lot action from him.

$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
4 players
Converted at

Stacks:
Hero ($82.15)
BTN ($15.72)
SB ($48.63)
BB ($55.02)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 4 players) Hero is CO [Kc][Kd]
Hero raises to $2, 2 folds, BB calls $1.5

Flop: [5s][6s][8h] ($4.25, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB raises to $7, Hero calls $4

Turn: [7d] ($25.25, 2 players)
BB bets $7, Hero folds

Final Pot: ($75.25)

BB wins $24.34 ( won +$8.34 )
Hero lost -$9.00

thinking back i really can't believe I flat called his reraise to fold any scary turn card... argh

reraise the flop/call shove...if he is basically check raising min with set or 2 pair this is bad...looks like a pair/draw

looks like he might have hit a gutshot on turn, but i still call the small bet and reeval on river as played...he probably is only going to bet a made straight or flush imo.

Joss, I think I would do what you did here because I think this hand needs turn re-evaluation and since the scariest of them all (well, [7s] is that, but this is close) fell on turn I am willing to let it go even for that stupid bet villain made only because you can't improve and more often then not in this case you're drawing dead..

because those cards complete open ended straight draws which are more likely imo then gutshots.

Do not smooth call, as there are draws galore. You will get lots of calls on a decent raise and you will get less action if a draw hits and nobody has it, So raise to $9 or so.
2008 Goals:

1. Make $40K by year end.
2. Play at least 100hrs a month.
3. Read 5-10 new Poker Books w/ notes.
4. Become regular at $2/$4 FR
5. Try some $5/$10 FR
6. Work on Game non-stop.

In the AK hand villain showed A9o for flopped 2 pairs
Would I have used my program before that hand happened I would have been able to add a note stating he check called TPWK (A4) and checked all streets... with this note the flop would have been a supereasy fold... next time! :)

second with flopped boat I smooth called and wow... all players called to see the turn.
Turn was an [8s] completing possible straights and flushes
UTG does big big mistake and goes all in, chasing away all straights and flushes... I call, everybody else obviously folds
he shows 88 for turned boat and takes it down.

I have only been at the table for 20 hands or so. UTG has been involved in a lot of pots and is playing aggressively post flop. HIs PT numbers are 45/5 w/ TAF of 3. I've got a little over 200BB's and utg has me covered after rivering some poor guy in a previous pot w/ a marginal hand.

He limps UTG, I complete in the SB w/ [Kh] [Th] and the BB checks. The flop is: [2d] [Kd] [Tc]
I bet the pot and utg min raises me, I 3-bet him a bit more than pot-sized and he min 4-bets me. (from memory so not sure of exact amounts, but I think after calling his 4-bet, I would still have 150BBs or so)

Okay, so I'm thinking he has something good here. His range, however, is pretty damn huge. Suited K2 is well within his range, so is something like AA or AK or some kind of combo draw, and obviously 22 as well. What is the best way to proceed here? Push, call and get it in on a non-diamond turn? Fold, although isn't folding top two in 6-max a sin?

well this min 4bet looks super strong to me... i can't actually remember somebody min 4betting me in a limped pot on the flop and not having beat any two pairs. Aside from that, could he be doing that with Axs or QJ?

If i'm right there are 3 K2s and 3 2s
I think 20 hands are not enough to say someone does not raise AA and AK preflop, but again i could be wrong
I think he is more likely to fold K2s than 2s... if we add some exceptions of QJ or Axs, maybe AK/AA we have a very marginal situation and could be about break even, maybe slightly winning/losing.
So i'm folding here but I'm known to be weak tight sometimes :)

Btw what about smooth calling his first minraise instead of 3 betting and go check call on all streets as long as he's not doing something extraordinary when a straight/flush card hits? what you say makes me think he may very well be capable of firing a second bet with a draw on turn, maybe he fires KQ and KJ as well.

Just my thoughts... I wonder what better players think
