Results: I timed right down then called, based on the following factors:
- 3:1 pot odds
- played it like a draw, all of which missed (apart from 56 which would have got more money in on the turn) - there are precisely 2 draws with Ks (KJs, KQs)
- didn't play it like a set (eg check-called turn)
- unlikely to have JJ+, AK
- from his point of view, 99-QQ is a v likely hand for me, so the K is an excellent scare card
I was expecting either KQs or KJs or air, but in fact he turned over J8 (pair of eights) [EDIT: sorry, a pair of 8s not a pair of Js]
... so much for my hand reading!
[EDIT EDIT: J8 hearts. Anything else I've missed?!

His play is somewhat odd, to say the least; I guess he called the turn putting me on overcards and then changed his mind on the river and decided to bluff me instead?!!
