If you want to succeed with 'book' play Limit is much easier.

NL is more about reads and feel - if you have Pokertracker I would definitley use Gametime+ (or Playerview) for real time stats on your opponents - once you figure out the personalities at a table you can decide who to fold to and who to call down.

In my experience pot limit games (if you're playing party poker) are weaker than NL. The disadvantage, of course, is that you can only bet the pot, but in most cases overbetting is not a viable strategy anyway. This might be part of the reason you're doing better at PL. Also remember that one month is not a long time (last year my worst month was about $500, my best was about $5000, and I play quite a lot, most days) so it could simply be short-term variation.

Other than that, perhaps you just need to spend time working on your game in general. As long as you're still winning you don't have a great deal to worry about, just concentrate on reading, learning and improving. Your style will open up a bit in time the more you immerse yourself in the game and develop hand-reading skills and a level of control over your game situation.

Your answer helped me a lot. I agree that the players are weaker at PL, but on the other hand in general they bring less money to the table and it is not possible to overbet the pot. Winnings are easier to achieve but it is not possible to win a lot of money.

I will try NL in a few months again...
