So I was playing $5/5 at my local club lastnight after work and I ended up the night $794. I doubled up with my pocket Kings against other players Queens. I slow played it preflop and got all the money in on the flop. I got a few more hands, but wanted to mention one hand last night that I played horribly and it's been bugging me. I get AKo in the cutoff. After a straddle of $10 3 people call and I raise to $50. Big bling calls as do the other 3 limpers. The flop came down 10 10 6. It gets checked around to me and I want to represent an overpair (my image thus far has been tight and I haven't showned down too many hands) so I bet about $150 into the pot. I get one call from a tight aggressive player. The rest fold. The turn is a K and he acts a little scared and checks to me. Well, I hit my hand but how good is it. I bet another $150 and he proceeds to act undecisively and goes all in. I of course muck the hand and the K flipped so I told the dealer to flip the A over too. My opponent proudly turns over pocket 10s for quads. In my opinion I played this hand horriblly, should have checked the flop and mucked or just called the turn bet and see how the river is played--probably folding. Any thoughts? The rest of the night went well for me and I only misplayed another hand, but that pot was small.
