So Im about 60 hands into a $1/$2 NL HU match. The guy isnt very good. Hes called raises and led $2 into the $14 pot several times. Once and only once has he led full $14 pot into me after I raised. The flop was 622 and I had 76s. I almost folded because I cant imagine what I could beat but I called. He checked the Q turn. I bet $25 and he folded so I suspect he had nothing.

So, its about 20 hands later. I raise to $7 with [Th]. Flop comes [9s][4c] and he leads full pot $14 into me. He has $75 behind....what do you do?

All the donks are betting into the raiser with nada lately!!! But they dont lead full pot with air often, sooooooo there might be a case for calling because you have proper implied odds to chase. You are a little worse than 4:1 against completing on turn, and you are calling 14 to win 100+.

I often raise here. The problem i see is that he is a donk and is short, so he is going to push KQ or better and you are behind that range. If you raise to $42 and he pushes you only need to call $47 to win $145.MEH. Practically EV=0 or worse. What's the need to play a big pot wth a draw against a donk?

If you call and he has air he probably wont fire again on turn and u can either take it down there (best) or get the free river.

I call. You can get his stack later if you dont hit.

He led with air earlier, why isn't raising an option? You have Jack-high.

Call or raise. I would never fold this. It is reasonably likely that you have 14 outs and may have an option of a free card on the turn. I can't fold given those possibilities.

I end up making some bad plays against bad players because you can count on them making a mistake. In you first example where it came 2,2, something and he led off, I find the weak players cannot bet when they flop a set. If they do bet, it rules out a set. Over and over.

I'd call on the straight draw but I would not be counting on the free card. If he checked on fourth, I'd bet him really high thinking he can't be trapping with a really big hand.
