KK vs a Limp Reraise (200NL 6max)

Postby T-Rod » Sun May 28, 2006 5:20 pm

200NL Prima

Villain and I have full stacks. NO reads yet.

Villain limps in the CO. It gets to me in the BB with K[s] K[d], and I raise it to $10. Villain now reraises me to $24.

Okay, I might be worried about a limp reraise with AA, but he was in the CO. So I'm thinking an AQ type hand?

What's your strategy from here?

1) Push now.
2) Call and CR allin on a non-A flop.
3) Call and lead a non-A flop big

None of those options are horrible, but I prefer to just reraise (not all in). If he has something like TT, you may not get anything else out of him when one o2 2 overcards hits.

Also, if the flop is something like JTx, youre going to be sweating. I like a reraise to $60.

I think his range is pretty wide. If he has AA, then hes just going to bust me. if he has anything else, I want enough in preflop that I can get all in on the flop without having to second guess myself after seeing the flop.

I dont think limping with AA on the CO is a bad move if there are no limpers before you, all you are gonna get by putting in a decent raise is the blinds. If you make a small raise, you are just setting urself up to get stacked by a set.

If you limp, anyone with a decent hand is gonna raise you, and isn't gonna give you much respect when you re-raise him.

AT 6max its a bad move because so many people call raises. I raise OTB all the time and people give me no credit for a hand.
