Stacks: Villian 1 has about 300, Shob has around 800, I have around 600.

2 villians. 1 is a huge CS who usually buys in for 2-300. 2 is shobute who is a really good and thinking player - he'll make big moves at times. He reraised me preflop with AJo against villian 1 who was the only caller, then bet the flop and hard on the turn with air...checked down the river and A high won the huge pot.

I have 99 OTB and villian 1 limps, a couple limpers including shobute, and I raise to 25 getting only their calls.

Pot 90, flop 554, two hearts.

They check, I bet 50, villian 1 folds, and Shob checkraises to 150 (pretty quick too...not insta, but not much hesitation). I think for a few seconds and call.

Pot 390 Turn 2 offsuit.

He leads 200...I?

EDIT: I tank for over a minute and start counting out my stack...and he says "if you put it in, I'm calling....and I'll make that binding (meaning that if I push in, he HAS to call)"

WTF?

my guess is that he has one of two hands.

[6h]. he's telling you this because he doesn't want to call that much more, but given the pot he knows he'll be forced to. I don't know why he didn't lead out though. maybe he thought the CR would look bigger than the bet/push move.

or

5x (probably A5s or 65s), and is telling you this to make his hand look weaker. you're playing the hand like you have either a big hair or the NFD, most likely the overpair though.

In the later case, you're a huge dog. in the first case you're a small favorite. I'm folding here. the range of hands you're behind to combined with the range of hands you're ahead of but have to dodge a million outs against just has to make this push -EV. I'm all about taking advantage of marginal situations, but this just seems too clearly a poor spot.

No offense, but it sounds like you guys are screwing with each other in pots just to screw with each other. There have to be plenty of weak players at the table, I wouldn't go to war with someone that is one of the few strong players with weak hands. Say BlackKnight outplays Shobute on every pot they play in a night, but Shobute comes out 1000 ahead while Blackknight wins only 100. No implication on who is better or whatever, just using names made it easier. It's the most obvious question ever, but who is ahead here?
