I'm OTB with A[d] K[d]. I'm full stacked and so is the entire table. MP raises to 8, 1 guy calls, 2nd guy calls.

So the pot is $24 when it gets to me. Do you raise here or just call and pray?

If I raise, I need to pop it to 40-50 range, and I've just gotten 25% of my stack in preflop. Ugh.

If I just call, and the flop is say K high, any bet pretty much pot commits me with just TPTK. Ugh.

Reraise to 32. It'll make your decision making process alot easier on the flop and you'll be giving bad odds to small pp. Furthermore, it'll further define your hand and if someone comes over the top allin, you'll have an easy laydown (well...depending on the opponent).

I think Ice outlined my problem. If I re-raise now, I almost always get 2 callers.

I make a CB 95% of the time when I reraise. But now, I'm pretty much committed if I CB if there is an A or a K.

OF course, as the hand played out. I just flat called. Flop was A[h] Q[c] 5[d]. Before it got to me a guy bet the pot, and was reraised huge by LP. I folded the flop and my read was on.

I'm still not sure if reraising is the way to go because to reraise enough to thin it to one person means you're all in on the flop.

Thats an easy flop fold. What did they have though? Thats will determine better ehat wouldve happened has you reraised.

If they had AQ and / or 55, then I think you wouldve gotten stacked if you had reraised. If it was A5 and AT, then maybe they wouldve folded to your reraise.
