Villain quaded me in a 3bet pot on another table earlier when he flopped JJ3fd with his pocket jacks, and I had AA and was betting into him and lost a stack obv.
Not sure what to do here in terms of calling or raising? I am more fond of raising on the river because it's either AA, AK,AQ,AJ,KK,QQ,JJ or air I think. The only hands that really crush me are AA, AQ and QQ here which are all possible i guess, but i don't think are most likely?

My turn raise is such because I was hopping (dunno why) the UTG+1 player will wake up or that villain will reveal his hand here somehow. I didn't know what to think of his river bet TBH. I thought it's weak or milking.. dunno...

If he has AQ, AA or QQ, good for him.

He has random AX hands so often here (AND will call a shove) that you should shove.

Raise turn bigger!!!!

As played, river is a shove against most opponents but it's a call against a portion of them: the super-predictable ones who will only raise preflop then check the flop with sets or whiffs. In other words, if he can't have AK or AJ here, a river shove is -EV.

I agree my turn raise was too small... but in this specific scenario, not by much I believe.. I would shove river all day against this kind of villain but I would like to hear the explanations for call (namely Xaston) here since i am interested why... thanks..

I'm definitely not Xaston .... but my reason for a call is simply his line. Sure you ahead of heaps of his range but I think his line does not add up to the most it. He's 31/21/2.4...so i haven't played with him and I don't know but that definitely does'nt mean he's retarded and i'm guessing someone with an AG of 2.4 isn't checking a TPTK/GK type hand too often, I think he's value betting it.

Turn pretty much is a blank so he leads 1/2 pot trying to build the pot while keep someone in, I think this screams monster or air. He then calls a raise and leads river?? I think some you guys are'nt giving some players enough credit here. I'm guessing he leads weakly figuring you probably don't have that big of a hand seeing you checked the flop?

Thats my thought of it anyway...right or wrong
