About 20 hands in w/ villian, haven't seen anything out of line. He's been raising pf the last few orbits but haven't went to sd yet. As played, do I have to call this river or did i leave myself room to fold? I was wondering if AcKc makes this type of move?

you should see AA, KK...heck even JJ- at$25nl a ton here. no way im ever getting away from this hand.

you flopped trips OOP...what more are you looking for when you call OOP? you're not calling b/c you think you have the best hand...you're calling so that you can outflop him and get paid by an overpair (ideally)

this is like the perefect situation to get all your $ in...

The reason why its not a good idea to call with QJo is you are going to miss the flop most of the time and even if you hit the flop with a lone Q or a J you are going to find it tough to play the hand OOP versus the preflop raiser.

So, if you are tired of him raising you too much, look for a hand were you can reraise him preflop, take control, make a CB, and hopefully get him to fold.

Another option is to move to a seat in position or to just flat leave the table until you are comfortable playing against this style.

However, flat calling with only a medium strength hand will get you into more trouble than its worth.

As played, you cannot ever fold on the QQ6 flop.

You have QJo UTG at a 5-handed table. Raising this yourself preflop is totally fine. Raise or make a slightly tight fold, which is fine too. DO NOT limp-call (especially OOP) at a 5-handed table unless you enjoy lighting money on fire.

Other than that, you played it reasonably up until you folded river.

Seatown not to beat this to death but if you are going to call a raise with QJ what board are you looking for to get all your money in? This is about as ideal a board as is possible for QJo if you are not going to put all your money in you shouldn't be calling preflop.

As the others I am not really a big fan of how you played preflop, flop and turn but lets just look at your river fold. You need to put villain on a range here, what are the odds of him having AA/ KK/ JJ/ TT, Q less than J vs the odds of him having the last queen in the deck with a better kicker than yours. You are getting nearly 2:1 on your river call, you only need him to have a pocket pair or a smaller queen 1 out of 3 times for this to be a correct call.
