Bear with me for this one... As a rookie I have a question about what to do in next situation...

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
10 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $25
UTG+1: $23.90
UTG+2: $5.35
MP1: $16.80
MP2: $9.70
MP3: $21.65
CO: $20.45
Hero: $23.55
SB: $4.75
BB: $11.10

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is Button with [8s] [Qs]
5 folds, MP3 raises to $0.75, CO folds, Hero calls, 2 folds.

Flop: [3d] [As] [6s] ($0.35, 2 players)
MP3 raises all-in $21.65, Hero ??

I have been at the table for 15 hands and Villain already made similar move on turn and his opponent folded. Villain also pushed once PF after a raise to $1 by short stack. Shortie called and Villain had [Ts][Tc] there and lost against oriignal raisors [Qs][Qh].

Now.. I realize that I have about 33-36% for a win here, but what I want to know is: do I make a call here because "his stack looks so nice" and I am probably not that much of a dog here, or do I fold and wait for a better odd, situation or whatever? Did he just give me odds for a call because of the implied odds stuff? Also, I know that I should have probably folded this PF but since I haven't (this time) I would like to hear your comments on the matter...

seriously? You ask whether to call to call off 90bb into a 7.3bb pot with a naked non-nut flush draw with no overcards?

I'm sorry, if that's the question, the answer is NO.

ok ok... I also consider it insta-fold.. and I folded, but I wanted to know if this is something that in some weirdness or something should be called and I don't know about it... I heard people discussing weirder things than this one for a call/fold and regarding this particular situation (which I haven't faced before as far as I remember) I wanted to know if by some fraction of chance I wasn't around when someone said that "Yes, you should definitely call this because....." .. Ok, glad to know that there is really no alternative here other than fold.

BK.. what I meant by "his stack looks so nice" is that he is pushing $22 into $1.50 pot on flop OOP... I wanted to know if this is at least a tempting call or something.. As for "taking the worst of it".. No. I am not willing to take the worst of it, and this is why I was asking this... however stupid the question to some of you, it was new to me..
As for folding PF.. I know.. I made a list of hands that I will play from now on..
AA,AK;AQ,AJ,KK,KQ,KJ,QQ,QJ,JJ,JT,TT;T9,99,88,77,66,55,44,33,22
I am talking about playing these hands, not going beserk with all of them... is this good choice for me for now?

Anyway, I folded and he showed me [Qc][Qh].

One more question.. not my hand but I am interested in your responses because I have different idea about this then what I read....

SB: $50.25
Hero (BB): $78.88
UTG: $88
CO: $60.75
BTN: $70.75

Preflop: Hero is dealt [3c] [3h] (5 Players)
UTG raises to $2, CO calls $2, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.50

Flop: ($6.25) [2s] [Js] [3s] (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $4, CO raises to $10, Hero calls $10, UTG raises all-in to $82, CO calls all-in for $48.75, Hero calls all-in for $66.88
Uncalled bet of $9.12 returned to UTG

What's the deal here? Why calling this? Is it really the pot odds that make this call profitable?

Easiest call ever on that last hand. Either or both players could have a flush draw, chances are right now the set of 3s is the best hand.

Plus, the hero has 7 outs to the full house/quads on the flop, plus an additional 3 outs on the turn, if we assume no other sets, 15% to turn the nuts and 20% by the river, 15+20 = 35%, which is greater than what thge hero is putting into the put, thus a +EV call.

Even considering one of the others could have say [As]J, then the hero still has the best hand right now and wants to get all in.

If you are concerned about a set of jacks, you definitely are looking for monsters under the bed.

If someone already has the flush (unlikely), you have the pot odds to call right now to draw to a full house/quads. Add to that the chances that you may well have the best hand, and its a clear call.
