1/2 NL prima

bunch of limpers...i limp with KhJh on the button.

FLOP $10
[8c][7c][7s]

Everyone checks

TURN $10
[8c][7c][7s][Kd]
checked to the cutoff who bets $6. I raise to $18. This raise is key. I'm now representing the 7..while finding out if anyone else has it. If you get called..you just check the river down.

In this case..it folded quickly to the cutoff who said "I'm not chasing a flush with a full house out." He folds.

Some of you said you wanted more basic hands and situations to look at. Here is one. Thoughts?

That is a great one Kenny. I have been guilty of calling in this situation, and still not knowing where I am at when facing a bet on the river.

Would you sometimes make this move as a pure bluff, even without the king, if you are on the button and the cutoff is the one who bets the turn? I wonder what kind of percentage that play is, with only a couple of opponents.

In this situation no..there were a bunch of limpers in the hand who could wake up.

I like it. Only downside is if you are up against some yahoo that would bet again on the river with a crappy King. If they are too weak to make a substantial river bet (i.e. more than say 50% of the pot) then I would just smooth call the turn. Only in this case though, otherwise I think the turn raise is the ideal line.

Kennyg
These are exactly the hands that im looking to review, so keep em coming! My play on this is simular to yours, a call by you tells you nothing at all on the turn and I would expect to see another bigger bet on the on the river by my opponet and you would have the same problem to face again.

Conversly if I DID have a 7, I think I would just call on the turn allowing my opponent to make a bigger bluff on the river and re-raising him there or value betting if he checks to me, assuming it was not a [c]
