I'd been running over the table, was up over $80 in about 40 minutes. Button was pretty LAG with about $20 in front of him. I had already stacked him once. MP limps, folds to button who limps, SB folds and I am on the BB with JJ. I decide to just check this one. I’d been raising a lot preflop and I’ve been trying to mix things up and add deception to my play (probably not necessary at the $25 table but I’m practicing).

I lead out for $.60, MP folds, button calls

Turn ($2.05) 2s

I lead again for $1.50, he makes it $8.50. What is my play? It seems unlikely he would limp with a 2 with no money in the pot. A2s is the only one that seems possible.

Interesting way to get yourself stuck "mixing it up". When I do the same, it's always pushing marginal hands harder, not slow-playing trouble hands OOP against a couple limpers.

In fact, when I'm playing LAG-tard, the only hand I ever slowplay is black AA from EP and then it's in the hopes that some moron will call my limp-push (as they did yesterday, whee!).

You already know you should have raised pre-flop.

Given where you are now... hmm... 88, 55, TT, QQ-AA trying to trap you preflop, or any hand with an 8 in it. He could even have A2 sooted. I'd probably mostly fold. If my Jacks were black, I might think a while and push (but I'd never just call here).

Why black? Just a randomizer, and you have to test this bet sometimes because it's sometimes a bluff.

When I limp big pairs in early position, (I often limp JJ in the BB FR) and I get no raisers behind. On a flop of unders I like to raise way more then the pot. I want to take it down right now or know exactly where I'm at. On the flop with JJ I make it $1 or $1.10. Then if I'm called or reraised I'm fairly certain I'm beat and can play the hand cautiously from there.
