Pot $8. Flop [3c][6c]. My default play here is to check and see what happens. So I check. MP bet $20 into this $8 pot. He has a total of $110. It folds back to me. What do I do?

I think you can make a good case for folding or flat shoving.

Shoving is good because he's 1/2 stacked and just stupidly overbet the pot which means he's a donk.

Folding is good because even donks hit there hand and you really haven't invested much here so no reads or pot committedness.

I lean towards fold.

C/R to $60. If he pushes fold as he probably has a flush (as a set is unlikley as u have a A3). You dont have the odds to boat cause if he pushes its $50 to you and $198 in the pot and you would need over $250ish to make it viable.. He could have a bunch of stuff here like a pair and a FD oroverbet looks like a TP/MK type hand trying to protect the pot from people drawing to the one card flush. Either way I dont wanna see another or him continue here.

It's because he is short that i don't like the CR to 60 b/c if he calls and you turn a club, you are going to be in a very tough spot since he won't have much left.

It seems to me that when someone overbets the pot by this much, he wants to take it down right now to avoid getting outdrawn. I would say he has something like [Td] and doesnt want a to fall on the turn.

I could call but if a club falls, what do I do? If Im right about his hand you would think he wouldnt put any more money in the pot, but since his ridiculous bet tells me hes a donk, who knows what he will do even without a club. What if I check to him and he all of the sudden decides that the 4th club scares me and he bets anyway?

I guess what Im saying is that this bet is weird enough that its pretty obvious he doesnt know what hes doing so I cant play it like a normal hand.

Hes obviously pretty proud of his hand right now, so why not check raise all in before he chickens out?
