UTG ($42.50) - loose and slightly aggressive preflop. generally passive post flop.
UTG+2 ($18) - just sat down with $20 a few hands ago.

UTG min-raises to $1, I call, UTG+2 re-raises to $3, folded to UTG who calls, I call.

[5d][8h] Pot $9.75
UTG bets $3, I call, UTG+2 min-raises to $6, UTG re-raises to $10, up to me.

It's obvious that if I just call, UTG+2 is going to push (only $9.50 left) and then UTG will have a chance to re-push.

There is $28.75 in the pot. UTG only has $29.50 left and as mentioned UTG+2 has $9.50. So now I'm in a push or fold situation. I'm getting about 2.3/2.4 to 1 on my money here if I push. I'm assuming UTG has at least 2 pair, but I don't understand why he'd let someone draw on this board with a big hand. Why he's not pushing when it gets back to him on the flop and closing me out, I don't understand.

Looking for better spots is MORE of a cash game concept than tournies because you're not forced to act because of rising blinds. Instead, you can sit back and be very patient and find great spots to get your chips in...sure you can argue that cash lets you push those tiny edges cuz you can reload...but why bother if that tiny amount of EV produces HUGE variance and - when you really sit down and think about it - getting that extra EV probably isn't worth it.
