I figured after the turn and river check that this guy held an underpair to kings that I could beat, guess he played me like a fool. He only had about 39.00 left so didn't see much value in making a smaller bet and having to fold if he raises me.

Hand 1) I like it. You can still out draw him 1 in 3 times and you're extracting value from overpairs.

Hand 2) I usually check that flop. You are way ahead/way behind there so betting just gets called by winning hands (and from a shortie you're now pot commited). Strange as it may seem, I'd rather check and call his turn push (because that's a bluff sometimes) than bet myself and have only winning hands call.

Hand 3) I like your play and the check call. He's donkish limp/calling a x5BB bet. He hit his 5 outer, what can you do?

Hand 4) He limp called your preflop raise which usually indicated some kind of drawing hand vs say QQ or JJ. So fearing a set is low. I don't mind getting aggressive on the flop, although I wonder how many guys call with the OESD.

Hand 1) Am I the only one who folds this? I was in a very similar situation today, except the action happened on the turn. In an unraised pot I flopped a set of 5's on a board. Donk lead out for $2, semi-solid player raised to $8. I think most players come over the top here. I call. Turn is a . donk leads out again for 2, semi-solid player raises to $20. I fold. It's much easier to fold this with the one-liner to the straight, but I think I also would have folded to an all-in on the flop. Anyway, Donk calls, semi-solid player shows 78 and wins with the straight. (River was a 6, meaning I would have filled up, but that's irrelevant).

I know there are a lot of hands you beat that your opponent might be playing here, so maybe getting all-in on the flop is correct, I don't know. But in unraised pot, versus a deep stack, I think I would want to play it a little slower.
