Recently there has been an increased interest in poker coaching. There are several poker coaching websites out there and no doubt more coming, but some people apparently are interested in getting coaching from known BTPers who they can expect to be trustworthy and who they already have some level of confidence in.

The whole coaching subject is a sticky one because, afterall, this is a free website being paid for by yours truly and allowing people to get free advertising for services that they will be paid for isnt exactly a fair proposition for BTP.

BTPs current policy will be this:

Advertising your coaching services in a tasteful manner in your journal or whatever is fine but BTP would like to be paid a smallish fee in some form of donation based on the amount of money your students are paying you.

BTP is not in business to make a killing like Cardrunners (which does have a coaching section and requires coaches to pay the site owners a substantial percentage of their fees) but BTP IS a business (although one that doesnt make much money) and would like to be compensated for the advertising we provide. The coaches here would not be able to advertise their services elsewhere and easily get students because they would be unknown to everyone.

There is no way for BTP to track who is coaching, how many students they have or how much money they are bringing in....nor does BTP have any interest in that so coaches...let your conscience be your guide........
