Pokertracker aggression numbers

Postby iceman5 » Thu Mar 31, 2005 11:31 am

Would anyone like to share their PT aggression numbers?
These numbers are not including preflop action.

Flop....5.48
Turn....3.10
River...1.68

Total...3.82

I think I may be leaving too much money on the table on the river. My flop numbers seem pretty high, but I do take alot of small pots uncontested by betting with most anything if the flop looks harmless.

My numbers are even higher when I only include games at Party....
6.18
3.49
1.87

total...4.31

flop 3.89
turn 1.83

At Party only:
4.23
1.94
3.08

total
3.23

Flop 4.91
Turn 4.25
River 1.35

total 3.95

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what this means. Clearly I am missing something on the river. In this game I tend to not value bet the river and check TPTK wether I am first or last to act..something to work on I guess. I probably do this because I fear getting check-raised off of my hand. Come to think of it I hardly ever get check-raised on the river so maybe I should value bet a little more.

March PFA #'s  I guess this means I am a little wimpy

Flop: 1.92
Turn: 1.90
River: 2.47
Net: 2.00

Any suggestions on how to pump this up? I am a 8xbb winner for the month over 20k hands of NL50 6-max on Party. I guess I didn't realize I was being so passive compared to the more experienced/successful players on this site. Clearly I am leaving money on the table by not being more aggresive.

I read some where that your aggression should be fairly equal on all streets. Oddly enough, I havent really looked at my aggression on each street recently and I havent been trying to keep this balanced, it just turned out that way.

Overall
Flop: 2.57
Turn: 2.52
River: 2.62
Total: 2.57

March
Flop: 2.80
Turn: 2.74
River: 2.55
Total: 2.74

What are your thoughts regardinig this?

Cryptosite
. 4k hands
- $100 NL

Flop 3.29
Turn 2.45
River 3.08

Total 3.00

------------------
Pokerstars
- only 1,7k hands
- 25$

Flop 2.72
Turn 1.79
River 3.13

Total 2.46

I'm surprised to see I'm actually more aggressive on the higher limit tables. I thought I played more careful at the higher limit tables. Appearently not.

The most interesting thing however is that on both sites my Turn Aggression is significantly lower then the rest. I think perhaps part of the reason is if I'm called on the flop after a bet (which will sometimes be a semibluff or pure bluff), I take my foot of the pedal and slow down. This is really interesting as I've been thinking lately that a lot of the times I get called on the flop I'm sure opponents would have folded on the turn with a bet.

Is this too weak? Or should I continue to be careful at this stage?

Click "more detail". Its to the right of the screen towards the top.

theres one on both of the 1st two tabs. The "general" tab and whatever the second tab is called. I think the aggression numbers are under "more detail" on the second tab.

DaHitDogg

Actually, with decent win rates, that data looks to me like you just like to play a looser game--which isn't mine, but if you can do it successfully, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Tight players, I would think, are likely to have a very high flop aggression rating because they're only playing premium hands, hence more of them are bettable/raisable.

I will say that what worries me (would be worth looking into in detail, actually) are my 6% or calls on the flop. I almost think that's really a bit high, although I have something like 4.91 aggression factor. I think flat-calling flops is generally not a very good play (with exceptions, for sure).
