AA in position and I'm still scared?! .50/1.00 NL

.50/1.00 NL Gaming CLub $100 Max buy-in

dealt [As][Ah] in MP. UTG raises to $3. UTG+1 calls. I reraise to $9. UTG folds but UTG+1 debates and finally calls the reraise.
This guy just sat on the table. We have about even stacks of $100. ummm...It's the weekend.

FLOP $22.50 (Heads-up)
[Jd][4d][7h]
UTG+1 bets $4. I raise to $20. He calls.

TURN $62.50 (Heads-up)
[Jd][4d][7h][4s]

Opponent leads into me for $25?!?!?! WTF? lol. I'm outright confused and just call. (Don't like this play, should have raised or folded.)

RIVER $112.50 (Heads-up)
[Jd][4d][7h][4s][8d]

Opponent moves all-in for $48.27. The pot is now $160.77 and it's $48.27 for me to call.
3:1.

My opponent has me totally confused here. Is he holding the flush? trip 4's? a full house?? If I had the [Ad] I wouldn't hesisate calling here.

Call or not?? Was my turn play as bad as I think it was?

Results later.

Mmm... sounds like a player who has you pegged on AA KK or QQ, has some outs on the turn, notices a scary board for someone with AA KK or QQ and bets large. I think your strange bet on the turn confounded him. I'll go with a long shot though... he has AA :-).

I think you should have folded on the turn. I know it's a tough fold but let's examine what he did:

He used the weak lead on the flop and called your sizable raise. He then leads into you again! Unless he is doing this because he doesn't want to call an all-in, I'm sensing a lot of strength here. I think he flopped a set of 7s, and although most people would be inclined to check the turn when they make the full boat, I think he has it here. I just don't see him leading out again without a very strong hand.

Again with the thought of the "this is the weekend"...I call.

He held [Ks][7s] fora pair of 7s??!!!

Bob, I will keep in mind of your stop and go advice.....but on the weekend..when they play like this...I think they are just trying to emulate sam farha from what they see on the WSOP.

Bob
I haven't seen hands played like this at alll. Just over the weekend all the people come out that want to become Farha or Negreua or something. In my recent memory of the past couple of weeks, those are the only two I can rememeber. And both were on the weekend of course. lol. Crazy fish!

If I have a guy marked as a good player and he does something like that, I completely agree with you that it's a fold.

Maybe he's not a complete moron (though that is certaintly plausible on the weekend). It looks to me like he put you on a hand like AK, AQ, KQ and didn't want to give you the chance to catch on the turn or river and thought he might be able to win it right there. On the river the 8d looked like a blank to him and he was hoping he was either value betting with a pair or thought he could buy it with an allin on the river if you did have a J since he had been playing it like a big hand. He may have just decided not to believe you had pockets and didn't rethink his analysis.
