As long as the bets are decent sized..it's ok to fold. If checked to me after I made a preflop raise,I will bet 90% of the time. However, if a decent sized bet comes to me and i'm holding two overcards, I'm not going to call. Usually folding is your best weapon in this scenario.

Though if they bet minuium that usually indicates a low pocket pair..and I will raise the size of the pot. They fold probably about 3/4s of the time if they bet min. in front of you and you raise them a good amount. At least for me at 1/2 anyway.

Kenny's advice is right on. Let me just add that you dont have to be too quick to reraise with AK. A call if fine also.

If you are going to reraise in LP with AK then you are obviously trying to represent AA, KK, QQ. When the flop comes J high, since you reraised, typically if someone hits a set or pairs up they will check to you and in this case you HAVE to bet the pot. I guarentee that everyone will fold 90% of the time unless if they hit a set. Occassionally you will get a calling station that will hold on with some pair. Typically, if you reraised then someone led into you (I'm assuming it was a LAG), he either hit his Jack or is trying to size you up/push you off. I think your initial reraise makes you committed to a reraise after the flop as well. I'm guessing he folds if you go hard.

While that play is OK once in awhile, you need to be cautious of who you do it against.

I would prefer to call the initial raise and if he leads out after you caught nothing then it is an easy fold. If you caught an Ace or King, then I'd either smooth call or reraise.

As for being pushed off your bets too easily check your WtSD% in PT (if you have it). This is the % of thye time that you go to showdown when you see the flop.

You should be shooting for 20-30% WtSD% assuming you are the typical low stake NL player with 20-30% Vp$iP.

Anything under 20% is getting pushed around too much (unless perhaps your post flop aggression is so high that you are pushing everyonme else out - which doesn't sound like it's the case here).

Anything over 30% (unless you are tight pre-flop) shows calling station tendencies.
