$1000 NL at UB

I limp [9h] in MP. Total Donk ($625) limps after me.

Pot $40. Flop [8h][7c]. Checked to me and I bet $25. Donk raises to $115. Folded back to me. I decide to peel one card and I call.

Pot $270. Turn . I lead full pot. This has to scare the crap out of him but the only problem is that if he pushes I have to call so I'll be all in as close to a 3-1dog. Thoughts?


Edit: How strong a hand do you thnk he needs to not fold here?

34% vs TPTK and 29.5% vs a set. Not totally horrible.

But against a shorty donk oop with a marginal hand I'm folding that flop every time.

I think with his stack size, I have zero FE. The pot is $270. He'll probably bet $200 which only leaves him with $300 and the pot will be almost $1K which is probably too big to fold unless he has a very weak hand.

I was willing to get all in, but I thought I would have some FE if he had something weak like AT if I fired a full pot bet at him. I mean, he cant beat any ace at this point.

yes, the guys probably a donk with that stack, but lets face it, what hand other than a draw would you play like this? you're not playing a set this way. I doubt you're calling the flop raise with A6. the only possible holding here is the draw when you bet out full pot.

Yes, it's confusing, but against most halfway decent opponents, your hand becomes really obvious here. the only possible hand he can really be afraid of is [6h].

i'm not sure what play i'd like to see here the most, since obviously i don't wanna check and see him bet pot or push. but i think he's most likely to bet $200 if checked to, and i think you can call that expecting to get paid on the river if you hit.

I'm not sure if that's the best play iether, but i don't particuarlly think that betting pot into him is your best option here.
