One EP limper, SB raises to $4, I call in BB with , Limper Calls

SB bets $8, Hero raise to $20, EP folds, SB Calls
sb took forever to call, time almost ran out

I raised to control Pot Size and see where I am. Villian is 27% VP$P 3% PFR. only 43 hands though. He could easily have a bigger overpair in which case i want to raise so i can hopefully get a check-check on turn then a cheap river showdown. I can also fold to a push here.

TURN: ($52)
SB checks, Hero check

Villian coudl have hearts so I debated wheter to bet; however the only logical made hands I currently beat are TT & JJ and im not sure if they are calling a bet plus any bet leaves me pot commited. I check to stick to my original keep the pot semi-small plan.

RIVER: ($52)
SB checks, I push for $74, SB quickly calls :X

Villian checks; at this point im pretty confident villian doesnt have a bigger overpair. I pushed too look like a bluff on missed hearts.

Thoughts?

I wanted to keep the pot small because i was unsure if my hand was good. But on the river I figured my hand was a winner (at that time atleast)

In hindsight, against a good player they will check the river with AA or KK (but also TT, JJ or even TP) because they should put me on either a semi-bluff on flop with hearts, a total bluff with air or a set. And against that hand range their best play is to check-call because I either have nothing or them beat.
However, they are probably calling with the hands I beat as well as the AA or KK.
