OK, I gave it a try. Went all in 9 times, only got called twice, but doubled up once with KK vs. AKo, and stacked a guy with AKs vs AQo. Net profit at NL50 over 167 hands is 12.95 and at NL20 over 135 hands is 5.20. It gives me a lot of time to sit there and watch how other people play and try to put them on hands, so this is a good learning experience too

Edit: The most awesome thing ever happened. I pushed all in UTG with KK. Two people called me . An ace came on the flop . They had QQ and JJ

I listened to the Ferguson clip. Is this guy saying that he turned the $1 into $20K using exactly this method? Chris isn't saying this and frankly I find it hard to believe.

I'm trying this method now too, on the B2B network. I think i'm going to fly through the low limits, i push with JJ and get called with stuff like A5 or 22.

MTPaid - that's pretty much what Chris said. He basically has 20x the minimum buyin for each level, whenever he doubles up at a table he will stand up and sit down at another table and buyin for the minimum again, thus moving his buyins for the level up to 21x. So you need a roll of $200 to play the 0.25/0.50 level (20 x $10). I can actually see it working.

The doubling up I understand, but it's the fold everything, but AA,KK,QQ,AK and push all the time with those hands that I'm asking about.

That's pretty much it. Ice has modified it somewhat to include more hands and black-knight has included pocket pairs in position. Read both of their posts as they seem to be doing quite well with it.

I listened to his clip and thought the 5% rule was about his bankroll management, not amount of buy-in - ie he never bought in for more than 5% of his entire bankroll - not that he bought in for 5% of the table's max buy-in.

Did I misunderstand this - why on earth would as good a post-flop player as Jesus limit his game on low/mid stake tables to pre-flop fold or push? That makes no sense at all.

Surely this is just an extreme version of the Miller short-stack method. Works mainly because most people expect short stacks to be donks..and even if someone knows what you are doing, they would often lose more EV adjusting to you than continuing to play optimally against the rest of the table

He did it as a CHALLENGE man! It was to see if Rose's method would actually work. Jesus would buy in for no more than 5% of his roll, but he was playing as high as his roll would let him so he was often buying in for the minimum. He started at the $1 tables worked his way up to the $5000 tables...and his roll never got to be over 20k, so he was probably nearly always in for only the minimum (though Rose's method was based on around 30BB buy in). It has nothing to do with Jesus losing value by doing this...of COURSE he knew that! He just wanted to see if his buddy's 'system' would work. I'm sure it was just done in his spare time.
