Ok, so I guess since i'm playing for a set or fold, my position didn't matter much. Since the two had about 10x their bet and the $2 more is a very small portion of my stack, I should be calling in this circumstance always, correct? I was kicking myself over this.

Actually you have to call 2.25 and 10 times 2.25 is 22.50, which neither of your opponents has, so I think you were correct to fold. Maybe because there was already 1 caller you might get to justify a call with the 4-4, but I don't think it was a bad fold.

You should primarily go by the raiser's stack, since you're far more likely to get their money than the caller's. The implied odds on the caller's stack are much lower, so he'll need to have a bigger stack to make it worthwhile.

You can also adjust the multiple based on the WtSD% of your opponent. 10x is a good rule of thumb, but if someone has a high WtSD%, you can probably lower it to 9x, and if they have a lower WtSD% you can raise your standards. In this case the caller is putting another couple bucks in the pot, so it may have been a marginally good call if the raiser overplays his hands.

I learned my lesson about it this time. I love when implied odds actually come through. Love people that can't drop top pair.
