I met a friend yesterday, he mainly brought me to poker.
I asked him why he's not bonuswhoring and he told me he thinks he gets more value from playing stars as supernova.
He plays about 100'000 hands a month and gets FPP worth about 1500.-
He recently moved up in limits playing 1$/2$ tables.

1) Do you agree that bonuswhoring is not the way he should choose?

2) What do you think about him playing on stars, although he could play on a european site?

3) Would you suggest him to play a different site, and if yes, which and why?



Aside from that I have a hand, i wonder what your standard play would be. Please include betsizes if you have tips.

He plays about 100'000 hands a month and gets FPP worth about 1500.-

Not sure what stakes he is playing but if he is clearing more than $3000 profit in those 100,000 hands he would be better off at Codepoker (as they pay you a bonus of 50% of your profit up to a max $3000 bonus each month).

If he pays more than $2500 rake in total he would be better of playing the B2B network, as 100k hands and that much rake paid on any B2B site should put him on 60% rakeback.

Basically Stars Supernova is worth maybe 30% RB equivalent - plenty of other sites do much better. Of course the key is that Stars is better than Party and FTP and nowhere else has as good game selection, so Stars may still be a sensible choice.

Oh as for the hand - you should fold A7s to a pre-flop raise unless you are deep stacked (say 150BB +) vs a poor player.
