$5/$10 NL 6 max at Tribeca

I limp with [Tc], button limps and we see the flop 4 handed with both blinds.

Pot $40. Flop [8c][2s]. SB checks, BB ($1200) bets $40. I ($1100) call. The button ($800) now raises to $140 and the BB folds. I call. Remember that at Tribeca the max buy in is $750 so the button isnt playing short.

The BB is pretty active in alot of hands but I have no good read. The button has only been here for about a round or 2. The only hand I saw him play , he opened to $40 from the button. The SB called. Button made a CB with a Kxx flop and then checked it down. Button had 22 and SB won with 66.

The pot is now $360. The turn is the . I check and he bets $250. Thoughts?

Well you sure haven't shown any aggression yet. He may put you on the FD and be betting to push you off with pretty much any two cards. But like you said earlier, you rarely bluffing past the flop, and your only read suggests he may play the same way. So he's not likely bluffing here with less than top pair. I put him on top pair or better, or a flush draw of his own. I fold since I'm OOP with a very mediocre holding.

But I probably raise the flop after the BB bets, and/or fold to the button's flop raise.

I've found that there is way more of a place for selective passive play in SH games. It wouldnt surprise me to see Ice holding TPMK here.

I don't like the flop call of the BB. I raise there. Raising the flop helps you develop a read on button if he calls and also slows down BB.

As played, I don't like calling the buttons raise if you are going to check/fold the turn. If you call buttons raise he either has a K and you're probably behind or he has some underpair. I'd rather lead the turn
