It's 2am my time...I'm already up decently, but decide to stay at a table and hope to catch against an uber donk.

History:

I've already won a smallish pot from his bluff...but I didn't have any notes on him yet...he's a total donk, lots of pf mr's, pretty agro and quite loose. Has a 1400 stack.

43s OTB he opens UTG for 8, I call, super loose passive sb calls. Flop K53r, one my suit. Checks through. I don't bet here cuz he's not folding anything. Turn, 6 completing the rainbow...he bets 13 into 26 and I call...again, no reason to raise, IMO. Turn Gin 7, though 98 is possible for him, I'm staking off here...he fires 52, I push...he calls...and mucks...nihan sir.

Stacks:
Hero = 460. BB = 220. Donk = 1200. Nit = 180.

T7ss OTB, donk pfmr UTG, nit calls, I call OTB, sb folds, decent BB repops to 17, we all call.

Flop: Pot = 69. We all check. I didn't want to fire in case BB had something like AA/QQ/AQ...all VERY much squarely in his range.

Turn: Pot = 69. BB bets 17.25 (1/4 pot), donk calls, nit folds, I call. Again, I didn't want to shut myself out...but I hesitated a few sec's before calling.

River: Pot = 120.75. BB checks, Donk quickly fires 1/4 pot 30.18, I think for awhile and ask shobute what to do...he says fire 90...I fire 90. He thinks for 1 second and pushes...HERO?!?! I have 330ish behind my raise.

I have no comment on whether or not to call this.

However, if you plan on calling this shove, making your initial raise a shove in the first place is vastly superior against all but the wildest river 3-bet bluff happy lagtards.

The reason you don't push all-in yourself after the donk's weak bet is that there's a 3rd player in the hand on the river. (The OP seems to forget about the BB. I assume the BB folded after you raised.)

I can't flat call that weak bet on the river, so I like the raise. After he pushes, I think hard about my previous history with him and try to decide just how bluffy he really is. I want a sense that he's bluffing here at least say 15% to 20% of the time, to add to the times when he has a weaker flush.
