I am really trying to tighten up my play a bit. If I start running at anything over 20% I take a hard look at my hand selection to make sure I am not falling into old habits. One side effect that surprises me is that I am no longer as sure what to raise with.
I feel like I should have raised preflop with this. Instead, I called and when I was bet into on the flop, I raised to find out where I was. When I was reraised, I had to fold, but I am not sure that I did not lay down the best hand. I feel that if I had raised preflop, I would have had control of the hand, and a much clearer idea of where I was.
Please let me know what you think.
