Here you should call, it is slightly -EV if he has AA, but you should take it here for the image sake and a small chance that he is bluffing.
Though I don't like how you get into this spot. There are many factors involved, but if you are 3 betting with such hands you should be able to check this flop, let your OP to bet and fold/push depending on your read.

You can't fold this.
On another note, I'm a bit a LAGtard, but I don't mess with shortstacks for this reason. You should really be more conscious of that when considering a PF re-raise or it'll get seriously dangerous for you.

Opponent open raises on the button to $4,50. I repop with 8Ts to $17. Opponent thinks a bit and calls. Flop: T42 rainbow. I bet $30, opponent hesitates a second and pushes in for $35 more. I call.

Fwiw, I nearly always fire a decent bet after 3betting preflop, but I'm not sure whether opponent knows that.
Hmm I'm pretty laggy but I'm not sure why you want to mix it up vs a shortie with T8s from the blinds..if he is open raising a lot (as most of the CR clones do) can't you let him have your $ or 50c and find a better spot to push back at him? you will have position on him 4 or 5 times out of 6 right?
I might be tempted to flat call him to see if I hit but can't imagine I would pop him back in this spot..
