Constructive input / critique is appreciated. I am still on the learning curve.

-------------------------------------------------------

Hand #1
No reads on MP1, he had just joined the table.

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
8 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $23.30
UTG+1: $64.35
MP1: $51.20
MP2: $83.28
Hero: $46
Button: $49.25
SB: $48.34
BB: $50

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is CO with [9c] [9h]
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $3, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero calls, 3 folds.

Flop: [3d] [7s] [9s] ($9.75, 3 players)
UTG+1 bets $5, MP1 calls, Hero raises to $15, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls.

Turn: [5s] ($44.75, 2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $15, MP1 raises all-in $33.2, Hero calls all-in $13.
Uncalled bets: $5.2 returned to MP1.

River: [Ad] ($100.75, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $100.75)

Results:
Final pot: $100.75

Raise more / push on the flop with such a drawy board? I almost checked behind on the turn, but didn't want to give a lone spade a free card.

Hand #2

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
9 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $41.17
UTG+1: $83.90
MP1: $78
MP2: $17.53
Hero: $50
CO: $49.18
Button: $48.70
SB: $54.70
BB: $50

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with [Ks] [Kd]
4 folds, Hero raises to $1, CO raises to $3.5, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: [Kh] [9c] [9d] ($7.75, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $6.24, Hero calls.

Turn: [4h] ($20.23, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $16.57, Hero raises to $33.14, CO folds.
Uncalled bets: $16.57 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $53.37

Obviously the check/raise was a bad idea. My calling with no obvious draws on the board surely woried him. Probably should have just called the turn and then bet 1/3 pot or so on the river, hoping for a call? Any other ideas?

Hand #3

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
10 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $36.61
Hero: $77.26
UTG+2: $68.70
MP1: $19.60
MP2: $34.85
MP3: $51.85
CO: $50
Button: $33.37
SB: $90.47
BB: $78.55

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is UTG+1 with [Th] [Tc]
UTG calls, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop: [Td] [4s] [Ac] ($3.5, 7 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $2, Hero calls, 2 folds, MP3 raises to $4, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Turn: [Qs] ($13.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $2, Hero calls.

River: [3s] ($17.5, 2 players)
Hero bets $5, MP3 calls.

Results:
Final pot: $27.5

I was going to bet out on the flop, and hope to get raised, but UTG beat me to it. I smooth-called, hoping for a raise in LP, and maybe I could just go along for the ride in a raising war. It sort of worked like that, except UTG folded. Now how to proceed? I was concerned that a call/reraise on the flop might have killed the action. Should I have just bet out the turn, and hoped for a raise, instead of the check call? I would like to get at least 1/2 a stack with a set.

Thanks for the input. I'll post results to the first and third hands if anybody cares.

Did you min raise KK UTG in hand 2, or did I misread that? If so, don't :) Raise 3.5 or 4BB + 1BB/limper regardless of position or hand.

Otherwise, Stoneburg's advice is all good, especially hand 3.

I'm not sure I'd go all-in on the flop in hand 1. Just make sure you raise more and punish the drawers (though all in is probably fine too).

Hand one, raise more on the flop, then call the turn with much better odds to make a FH.

Hand two, hmm, your play is ok here, he probably has a missed big hand like AQ or even QQ-JJ, if you just call the turn you have the check the river with basically the NUTS and pray for a bluff.... very risky, if you call here and then bet the river he may well even fold a decent hand, by raising the turn he almost certainly wont fold AA.... probably wont fold AK either.... so I think you did ok here.

Hand three: Your call on the flop is ok.... but once someone min-raises behind you I would re-raise pretty big, he either has a draw or a big hand himself, his turn bet looks like a blocking type bet, I would raise the turn......... and your river bet is just lame, I think you can bet $10- $15 on the river and fold if re-raised.

Sorry if I repeat anyone's responses, I haven't read them yet.

Hand 1: I don't think the size of your raise was big enough. Considering the amount in the pot already, I would have bumped it to around 20-25 in this spot, if you get called then ok you made him pay to see the turn. You said you wanted to make a bet on the turn because you were afraid of giving a lone spade a free card. Then what kind of hand did you put him on the flop? If you give a card off, so what? There would be four spades out there and you can get away from the hand. You put the player probably on a flush draw on the flop, committed to the hand anyways on the turn. If you were going to call an all in raise from him why not just stick in on the turn and hope he doesn't have it? I would have made him pay for his mistake by checking behind on the turn and looking to boat up.

Hand 2: It looks to be he's either on Aces, or something like AK or KQ. With any of those hands though, it would have been a tough spot to make anymore money out of it, unless you just flat called the turn and put out a 12-15 bet on the river.

Hand 3: Looks to me he had something like AJ, AQ is he's more of a passive player. You allowed such a small bet to roll off on the turn. I definitely would have stuck a big raise in there, to about 18-20. If the A or Q rolls off on the river and he really did have AQ, then you would have f'ed yourself.
