Flop, raise to 12...I dump to a 3bet...it's rarely just AK. So you're risking your stack to split unless he has AJ...

This really is not a good flop for you. The whole reason I like to smooth call with AK is that a lot of players raise AQ and are willing to lose a stack when the flop the A. I realy hate making a reraise preflop with AK, it reopens the betting vs a shortstack who is likely to push and I hate being all in preflop with AK. I dont see why everyone likes the raise on the flop? There is almost no draw on the board so if you are ahead there arent to many hands that can draw out on you. Calling here and seeing how he plays the turn will give you a ton of info. Also you have 2 players still to act behind you raising here will often mean you are going to be stuck if someone behind you wakes up with a big hand.
