I'm pretty new to SH and NL but at the 100 and 200 tables so far but I raise this 44 first in everytime, maybe at the lower limits its not as good as play at the lower limits or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

As played I probably bet more like $1.50-$2 on the turn and then $5 on the river. If raised I agree with allstar, I'm all in I want money. You don't flop sets that often, get the money in there. That's one piece of advice I have from limit coming to NL, when you get big hands you want to almost always shovel money in there, I think NLer's bet too little most of the time personally, especially with big hands like a set here.

In considering call vs push, it's all about the extra money going into the pot (above the amount required for the call). Your odds on the extra money you're committing on the push are exactly 1:1.

So if you're ahead 51% of the time then a push is +EV (assuming your push will be called every time). If you're ahead 49% of the time then a push is -EV.

If your push will get him to fold his weakest holdings, and if you consider the effects of extra rake, then a push may be -EV even if you're ahead up to say 60% of the time.

allstar says you're winning this 90% of the time. I think (if opponent is really WT) it's closer to 50%.
