When he flat called the flop bet I figured he had either QQ or KK (maybe AA or AQ) so I figure it's wa/wb. On the turn I don't think he'll fold QQ, if I check he might call a valuebet. If he has KK/AA I am going broke either way.

I acted like a big pussy and raised to 30 or something. Not enough to price out a draw, I was hoping it would give me a free showdown and let me get away now if I am beaten (I'm folding to a raise).

I meant he would call a valuebet on the river if I check the turn. Reasoning he called my bet on the flop because he thought I was bluffing, when I don't bet the A he thinks I don't have the Ace.

I think both hands ARE weak/tight, which is why I posted them. Earlier I used to play AK very strong, and it was a losing hand, then I completely switched and started playing small ball with it and now I think I've become too timid with it. I'm making money with it but not very much.

Oh, hand #1 he called and mucked. The other one was checked down on the river, same result.
