This one is at stars. SB is the reason I'm at the table and one of the most fun players I've had around in a long time. He's 75/30 preflop and has a postflop aggression factor of about 5 but has a tendancy to bet small and give up quickly with weak hands. Yes. A maniac that's easily moved off a hand. Sweet.

BB is not so fun. He's playing 6 tables and he's about 18/6 preflop but seems very weak-tight postflop. He rarely bets and I don't think I've seen him play a big pot in the ~200 hands I've played with him. (A quick check reveals I've seen him show down AA in a ~100 bb pot.)

Hero raises to $6, 3 folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: ($18, 3 players)
SB bets $4, BB calls, Hero raises to $15, SB folds, BB raises to $40, Hero...... calls?.


SB betting $4 isn't exactly news. Chances are it means he has 2 cards. BB calling is interesting as he could be on diamonds or have a legitimate hand. I raise here because I want to win a big pot and I'm not going to do that $4 at a time. I'm hoping that SB happens to have a 5.

BB raises. Interesting. I don't know what to put him on here. I can't imagine he called my raise with a 5 in his hand so that probably leaves him on a pair of some kind. Should I reraise here or is a 'reluctant' call good?

99 is squarely in the middle of the hand range I'm putting my villian on of course (88-TT or thereabouts) but obviously there's no way known i'm folding now. Push or call?

I push. I agree that all of the plays have such +EV that they are all good. I just like the All in for image reasons.

I think he has at least one 5 here, good chance he has both. I'd just push.

I don't think you can put the BB on 88-TT here. I would rather put him on 75 than those hands you mentioned because I'm sure he isn't going to be calling and then reraising that pot without a monster hand/draw based on his stats. Also, you have a hand that you are going to go broke on if he has quads or 99. Your main goal is to try and figure out how to get the rest of your stack in here and double up.

I would say that he easily has JJ-AA here and probably is not letting go because he probably feels he is way ahead of you based on his betting. He's probably put you on a PP that doesn't beat his, so chances are he has KK or AA before everything else or he has A5 and you need to note that. Also, I guess is very possible too.

Iceis right; it will be hard for you to make a mistake on the turn.

Side note: I like to raise to $8 preflop, especially from UTG.

The dude is extra, extra, extra weak-tight. Take every pot from him in the future.
