Weak fold?? $10/$25 NL $2500 HU table

Postby High Wired » Thu Oct 26, 2006 2:49 pm

I was observing a hand that occurred as follows...

HisXLNC is at seat 0 with $7669.
maxEmus125 is at seat 1 with $2323.50.
The button is at seat 1.

maxEmus125 posts the small blind of $10.
HisXLNC posts the big blind of $25.

HisXLNC: -- --
maxEmus125: -- --

Pre-flop:

maxEmus125 raises to $75. HisXLNC re-raises to $275.
maxEmus125 calls.

Flop (board: [3c] [6c] [Tc]):

HisXLNC bets $360. maxEmus125 calls.

Turn (board: [3c] [6c] [Tc] [2d]):

HisXLNC checks. maxEmus125 goes all-in for $1688.50.
HisXLNC folds, showing [As] [Ac]. maxEmus125 is returned
$1688.50 (uncalled).

Hand #35084854-23397 Summary:

$.50 is raked from a pot of $1270.
maxEmus125 wins $1269.50.

I was left sitting in awe after that. All I can imagine is HisXLNC had a serious read on maxEmus. I witnessed the hand, the timing of it and everything, and maxEmus played it pretty regularly, there was no long pauses or anything. Actually, Max pushed all in in about 3 seconds on the turn after being checked to.

He had gotten stacked by HisXLNC at least twice already and was down two buyins. HisXLNC didn't even think about it for very long either, within 8 seconds he folded showing the black rockets which of course gave him the nut flush draw if he had called!! :-k

I wonder if he misclicked? Nothing was typed after the hand and they continued playing as if nothing crazy happened. I don't know... maybe I'm way off on this one.

maybe getting stacked twice in a short period time is enough to make a guy starte seeing monsters under the bed.

3-handed I am all in on the flop

no see, the guy who folded was the one who had previously stacked maxEmus twice!

also note, it was a heads up table, not three handed
