BB bets $5. I don't like this bet...is he leading with trip 4's? nah..I decide I want to check the river but make him pay for any draw now. I raise to $20. BB calls.

hmm...nice full house but a higher pocket and a 4 both beat me. Opponent leads for $38??!?!?! Mkes the pot $102 and $38 for me to call. I was thinking I had about 3:1 to call this at the time.....but it's more like 2.5:1.

That is a really odd bet for prima. They never lead out for that much... I couldn't figure out what this guy held..his play on all streets didn't make any sense. I decided it's a weekender and made the call.

With no reads on the player, I call. Either he's got a monster hand and is trying to bait you to reraise, or he has nothing and is hoping you were on the draw for a flush.

I think you are crazy if you call here. What he's doing is sometimes referred to as "stop and go" and it is meant to throw you off and confuse you. It usually means that you are up against a monster. If you wanted to get to showdown calling his turn bet instead of raising it is the thing to do. He has lead into you for 3 streets, you've raised him on 2 of the streets only to have you lead into you again. You can't be winning!

I would call but I think you should probably fold . I guess it's very opponent specific and without any real knowledge of how he plays it's pretty hard to decide, but if he's lead the river he must have at least a T in hand, and in that case you're (at best) paying $38 to win $32.

I thought about it for a while and ended up calling with the thought "it's the weekend."

He had [8c] for nothing with a gutshot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw.
