A pretty general question here.
Assume you don't have a solid read on Villain. Say you have a high pocket pair and raise it up in Early or middle postion. And say only one person calls who has position on you.
And then say that the flop comes all unders. And then say you bet 3/4 pot, and villain re-raises 3 times your bet.
What do you usually do here?
What if there are two of one suit or two cards that are connected?
What if the board is rainbow and uncoordinated?
What if villain only has half a stack?
What if villain has a double or triple stack?
I know that there is a lot of missing information, and you have to go on your gut feel and whatever reads you have.
I ask this question, because this happened to me this moring.
I had pocket kings and raised it up 4x BB. Button called. Flop came 3TJ. I bet 3/4 pot, he raised 3 times that ammount. I thought for a while and pushed all-in (I didn't have a full stack, only 3/4 stack). I was going to just triple the bet again, but decided that that would pretty much pot commit me anyways, so I pushed all-in. Well, he folded. But I am wondering if I made the right play.
Thanks
