Having Moneymaker on that list is an abomination.

Moneymake isnt as bad as people think (FT at BAy 101 after the wsop), but if he's on this list than Xas should be like #4.

My top three in age order.

Chip Reese for insane versatility and consistency, he's been doing it for a living for ever and is by many considered the best cash game player.

Barry Greenstein for consistency, tilt proofness and amazing understanding of the games.

Phil Ivey for being icky good at everything.


TJ is a rock with good reads. Doyle is good but has some weird quirks like believing in ESP and thinking AK > AA. Hellmuth is a one trick pony, tournaments only and not even the best at that IMO. Stu was incredible but also an action junkie, prone to tilt and insanely inconsistent. Chan is great of course but doesn't play as much nowadays and is probably over the hill. Amarillo Slim and Johny Moss are dead so it's hard to say, but my guess is that they are over rated as most legends are, especially Slim. Negraneu is the one closest to making the top three but I think Ivey is better and the other have been consistent winners for much longer.

That's my reasoning.

As much as I think Matusow is a narccissistic crybaby loser I find I dislike "Sheiky" a lot more. Actually, Matusow is only #3 on my list of annoying people who would have been better off as a stain on the mattress since I saw Tony G a couple of times.
