I limp with small pairs in EP. If someone in LP with a full stack raises standard I always call.
However, I am not convinced that this is +EV. Even if I hit a set (1/8) I will often not get paid of. And 7/8 of the time I have to check/fold. I doubt that the good old rule of thumb 'call if you and the raiser have more than 1/10 of the call amount left' is correct in this scenario.
This changes dramatically if I have position to the raiser. The probability of stacking him is much higher since he often will continue with a continuation bet and will often call a raise if I have a set.
Anyway, I am interested do you guys play the same? Has anyone PT stats regarding this topic?
