Do you re-reraise this turn?

Postby iceman5 » Wed Mar 30, 2005 9:02 am

Would you re-reraise this turn? I didnt want to make him think I had a 6 and let him off the hook cheaply since I knew he had a king, but a club on the river could kill my action. What do you think?

I would have played it the same way post-flop. My question is why you didn't raise pre-flop. Is that your normal line with mid/small pairs like 88 and 77? I usually go with a 3x or 4x raise with these hands in late position, especially if the table is loose-passive. My thinking is generally it's going to be "no-set-no-bet" for me so there might as well be some $$$ out there when I do hit on those oh so magical 1 in every 8.5 times. Any thoughts?

No, I don't re-raise the turn. I want his river lead out money if he has the K, and figure if he has a 6 I can still get his whole stack.

Definitely keep "slow-playing," to the extent that that's what you're doing, by just calling the turn.

My question is, how can he re-raise you on the turn without the 6? Your raise, to me, says "slowplayed trips or better over here."

And how can you not put him on a 6 after he does re-raise on the turn? Do you have a read on him as over-aggressive and/or dumb?

And how can you go all-in on the river without worrying he has a 6?

And how can he call your all-in?

I wouldn't re-raise turn if you have him read for a king. Why? He'll fold ha ha ha, this one wasn't that hard.
