I was playing a SnG this weekend, and on the first level (may have been like the 2nd hand, actually) I get AA in the SB. It folds around to the button who limps (blinds were 20/40, IIRC). I didn't want to give two players a free shot at a lucky flop and raised to like 140. The BB pushes and the button folds. Of course I call.
The BB shows KJs, and of course flops a K and gets on one the river. I'm now cripled and the thing is just getting started.
I normally don't comment on crap like this, but I couldn't resist typing "better lucky than good" in the chat box. The guy then proceeeds to tell me "it was a solid play, who bets like that in the SB".
Funny thing is that the table was so nuts (I think three players went out on the first hand) that I stuck around until the bubble. A few hands after this one, this same guy pushes on the turn after a suited flop. He get's insta-called by a flush and the lucky SOB catches a FH on the river.
