Crazy night...4 tables, AA 3 times and KK 6 times in about 450 hands. Okay, that's pretty good. But the funny thing was, 8 of those 9 hands were at one single table. This was enough to make even the staunchest believer in random numbers take note...but it got better.
Holding KK OTB, flop is KK2. I reraised it preflop, so I obviously have something...but the only other guy in the hand raised it preflop, so he certainly didn't hit that board. He checks, I check. Turn is an A. He checks, I check. River is a 6. He's all in. I call. He has 666KK.
Exactly 18 hands later I hold KK OTB. Different guy, same seat the previous guy vacated raises PF. I have data on this guy...he's a 3% PFR guy. I'm thinking aces or QQ. Only the blinds left to act, so I call and decide to play for set value. Flop is KK5. He bets 150% of the pot, I call. Turn is a brick. He checks, I check. River's another brick. He checks, I value bet, he calls, AA.
Everyone is pretty much shocked at the second flopped quads. I let them know it's a new vip promotion for guys who play over 10K hands in 10 days.
