So I have played a bunch of hands with this guy live. After spending so much time talking poker here on BTP I get used to talking poker with people who know what they are talking about that having conversation with a donkey can be kinda weird and entertaining.
So this all starts about 2 months ago. I limp utg with 99 he calls from the button. Flop is 982. I lead $20, one player calls. He raises to $60. I smooth call the other guy folds. He is pure ABC so there is no way he is one draw, I figure I have him dominated. Turn is a J. I check he bets $50, I CR to $150. He calls. River brick, I bet $200 he calls with 22, he actually had $200 left behind. I say wow I guess if I raise the flop I get it all in there. He tells me no if I reraise the flop he folds because he knows I have a bigger set but the turn made him call, since I could have been on a straight down after the turn. HUH?
So this leads to yesterday. I am at the table for about an hour and haven't won a hand, My original buy in of $300 is down to $225. I get AA, he raises to $15, 4 callers in the middle as usual with this table. I raise to $115. He thinks for a split second and pushs with KK. Obviously I call.
He spends the next 30 min talking about how unfair it all is. Also that he wishs I had had a full buy in. If I had had more money he would have folded since he only had $15 invested but since I had $225 he had to see what I had? Huh #2? The next part is really funny, he actually said he would rather have AK vs AA than KK since AK has "more outs" since there are more kings left in the deck, plus you have a straight draw. Huh #3
Final fun hand. Donkey who probably has read that awful Sklanksy book mins to $6. I call with KQs. Flop is . He bets $15 , I raise to $60 he reraises to $120. There is no way this idiot flopped the nut flush and 3 bets the flop. I smooth call. Turn . He pushs $250 more. I call of course the river is . He tables . I show him my flush and he actually says "well now we are even, I had a ton of outs."
I love poker players who think they are good and are clueless like this guy.
