Prima $50s. The opponent is the big stack with over $200, but he hasn't made a dime since I sat down. He is passive and bad. He loves to minraise preflop, and then minbet the flop! When he does raise more than the minimum preflop, it is very often with cr*p hands like A6o. He has shown no ability to be even vaguely tricky, except one time when he checked the flop with 66 on a 776 board. If he takes his time to think about something, it's because he has something to think about. If he acts quickly, he has a good hand. I can read him like a book.
Anyway. I get 85o in the BB and see a flop with 4 people including the big stacked moron (Villain) who is in MP.
Flop is 874 rainbow. Top pair plus gutshot. Not terrible, and about as good as I can expect with these starting cards. I bet the pot, everybody folds except Villain, who has to think about it. From the time he takes to call, I know there is no way he has a set or 65.
Turn is a Q. I think for a while and bet half the pot. He calls again after thinking again.
River is a 2. Board shows 874Q2 with no flush possible. I bet 3/4 of the pot. He thinks and think and thinks and ... calls with 86o!!!!!
I think I had just about the only hand he could beat. I knew that all my bets were dicey but I could not believe it when he showed his winner.
