Copied from another thread with an update added. The following is a progression of my miserable week.
4 SNG's last 2 days - results w/ last hand - lotta idiots check/calling overpairs and top pairs.
5th - TT MP 6x BB raise, UTG limp calls and calls down flop and turn to hit BD flush.
6th - Blinds 75/150 - SB limps, I'm BB. Flop 7AK rainbow, SB checks, I bet pot - he calls, turn 5, SB checks, I push what little I have left, he calls turns over A3.
4th - Limit SNG - KK SB I 3 bet UTG caps. Flop 7TJ rainbow, I bet - called, turn Q, I bet - he raises, I'm all-in. He has AK for straight.
4th - Pushed 4 handed w/ 3.5X BB left on Button w/ 55. SB had 66.
Going further back
3rd - AI preflop 3 handed I have TT vs A3. A and 3 on flop.
4th - JJ in BB, UTG limps I push w/ 6x BB left. He calls turns over AK - that's right he limped 4 handed AK - turn is A.
3rd - raised 3xBB 3 handed on But w/ QTo. BB called. I flop TP (Queens), BB check- called all the way with AA.
6th - BB vs SB. Flopped TP (Kings) SB flopped trips.
Past few days w/ big PP.....
KK saw flop 3x - lost 2x
QQ saw flop 3x - lost 2x - once to J9 when I flopped set and he hit runner runner double gutshot straight.
JJ saw flop 9x - lost 7x
TT saw flop 3x - lost 3x - last one to a guy who called flop and turn with nothing but BD straght draw.
Haven't seen AA in 435 hands, ever since I posted in the PT forum about PP. I musta jinxed myself.
Last SNG today - Lost to a guy who didn't raise JJ or AA from BB or UTG and I flopped TP each time from the SB.
Seriously contemplating becoming one of those guys who just shoves in w/ JJ no matter the blinds.
=================
Update, just lost QQ again UTG raise to 5xBB (30/60 blinds) 4 callers. Flop A45. AJ and 55 end up AI. Went out with TJ, flopped top pair and couldn't get rid of A9. He hit a gutshot wheel on river. Thinking about quitting for a few weeks.
=================
2nd Update. Played 2 more SNG's. 4th and 9th.
Last 3 hands I've seen a flop with today (and possibly for a long time), I've flopped middle pair and lost to 2 pair (Blind vs Blind), flopped TP w/ KQ and lost to Quad 5's, flopped top pair w/ 89s which turned into 2 pair, but lost to a set of 3's.
I've now seen flops with TT through KK 19 times and lost 15 times.
I went 476 hands without seeing AA and when I did, the whole table folded to a raise to 80 w/ 10/20 blinds (That never happens. They call ALL raises!!!)
==================
3 more SNG's (5th- 4th - 6th) today and one MTT (22nd - paid 18)
My SNG ROI has gone from 28% to 5% just this week w/ just about 100 SNG's played.
I have now gone 9 SNG's in a row without cashing and 13 since a better than 3rd place finish.
Hands that crippled me or knocked me out today.......
- Blinds 100/200 w/ 1120 left in MP - 5 left - [7s]
UTG limps, easy push for me, he calls, shows [Kd] (normal limping hand 5 handed)
Flop is good, turn is . I'm slightly ahead on flop, I lose.
- 5 handed 100/200 in BB w/ [Jh], Button pushes for 895.
I need to call 600 to win 1195. Getting 2 to 1 I call. He shows [2d].
I'm a 58% to 42% dog, so good call. And I flop a J, but he flops and turns Aces.
No I shouldn't have won, but I'm losing this hand all week long at much more than the odds dictate.
- 3 hands later we are 4 handed w/ same blinds. I have 500 left UTG. [9c] EASY push for me. Guess who has an Ace again. Same guy in SB. He calls w/ [4d].
Again a 58% to 42% dog, and AGAIN I flop a pair, but he flops another Ace.
- What are the odds that both times I flop a pair as a slight dog there and he still beats me. In and of themselves, hands that are no big deal, but add them to all of the above.
- MTT - Blinds 500/1000 w/ 75 antes.
I have 31,393 and [Qd] on the button. UTG, only 1 of 2 with bigger stacks LIMPS in.
I raise to 4,000 (good raise, right?). He calls.
- Flop [Th][Tc]. He bets 1K into 10K pot so I have to raise. I raise to 6K and he calls.
- Turn . He checks, I bet 5K into 22K pot w/ 2 overcards, an OE str8 draw, + he has shown no strength.
- Of course he calls. River is a blank. Check, check. He turns [Qh] and calls me an idiot. He limped AQ and calls me down all the way with A-high. A pair of 2's beat him and I'm the idiot. I guess I am.
- Blinds 600/1200 w/ 100 antes. I have [Jh] 2 off the button w/ 11,693. It's folded to me and I raise to 6K. Button calls. Flop [6s][8d]. I push and pray he doesn't have a King. He calls w/ [Ts]. This is a hand you call a raise w/ when it means most of your stack? Anyway at least I'm still ahead even though I'm now a 55% to 45% dog. Maybe it's time for me to win one of these things. Turn is and I'm gone.
- One guy limps with AQ and another one calls a raise w/ QT. I swear I don't know how to win anymore.
- Last SNG - 7 handed 75/150 blinds - I have 1063 in BB w/ [4d]. 2 off the Button limps, Button limps, SB completes and it's a 4 way flop.
- [7h][Kc]. I bet 300 into 600 pot and 2 off the button pushes. I call and he turns over [Kh]. Another genius who limps w/ AK, but will probably push with 33.
- Joke's on him now cause I'm 75% to win. Turn River and I'm in shock yet again. What could I have possibly done differently today or this week for that matter?
- I have now lost over $100 playing in tournaments no larger than $7 buy-in even once. Most of them are SNG's.
- I am now 3-7 since last 10 when seeing a flop with TT through KK. (Through almost 10K tourny hands I have seen TT 38x w/ a win % of only 47.37%. I thought Tens were a good starting hand?)
- I have seen AA only 3x in 1,458 hands since Sunday and ALL 3x the blinds were only 10/20.
Holy **** how do I stop it????
