It's all about the rake at Hollywood. No matter what you raise with, the hand that you have dominated is going to beat you. If you are heads up in a pot, your gonna make a hand that there is no way you think your lone opponent can beat, but he will. Especially if your the BB and he's the SB? Why? It's all about keeping the rake up. Tournaments are different because there is no interest in additional rake once it starts, but I will never play another ring game hand at Hollywood.

How else could I explain these numbers from PokerCharts in limit games:
Absolute Poker - Win rate +$13.84 per hour in 35.16 hours for a total of +$488.13
Hollywood Poker - (-12.59 per hour) in 36.2 hours for a total of (-$453.50)
Could I be that good on one site and that bad on another.

In $1/$2 Limit games from PT:
Absolute Poker - +1.5 BB/100 over 2,521 hands (I actually lost a some hands of a winning session when PT froze or it would be higher)
Hollywood Poker - (-1.94 BB/100 over 1,563 hands

Now onto tonight. Look at all the hands I raised and lost with.....

1 - Raised w/ [Kh] in BB after 3 limpers.
Flop: [As][Kd] for 2 pair. I get 2 folds and UTG sticks around to see on the turn and on the river for his flush to win with his dominated [7s]. At Hollywood you get rewarded 3.5 BB from me for playing that garbage UTG.

2 - Raised in LT w/ KQ offsuit. To be fair. I won this when everyone folded after the flop to my continuation bet with nothing.

3 - This one is BEAUTIFUL! Raised as 1st in w/ [Kc] in CO and was cold called by the button.
Flop: [Ks][8s]. I can't shake him off and the turn is . Still can't shake him off and river is . This SOB raises the river and shows me the [8h] he cold called a raise with as he sweeps in 4.5 BB from me.

4 - Two hands before this I limped in with 88 and won 4.75 BB with a set then another SB with AQ in BB. But here I get to give back 7 BB w/ KK.
UTG raises, MP2 cold-calls, I 3 bet w/ [Kh] in SB, BB idiot from last hand calls 2 raises cold and the others call too. Flop is T6T and long story short, MP2 idiot turns over [Th], a hand I had crushed, but why not call raises with it at Hollywood.

5 - I only limped with this one, but it's another beauty. I limp UTG w/ [Td], UTG+1 raises and MP1 cold-calls as does cut off. Long hand short, UTG+1 raiser turns over 98 offsuit when it's all over to collect on his 2 pair on the flop. Who here raises w/ 98 offsuit UTG+1and lives to tell about it? Show of hands please.

6 - 2 hands later [Ks] in BB. MP limps, CO raises, Button 3 bets, I call, and MP calls (<--- I said MP calls, not caps). MP ends up calling and checking a K high board down with pocket Aces.

7 - In the BB and flop open ended straight heads up vs. SB. I complete on river. Problem was he completed his flush on the turn and slow played it. Way to keep the rake up when there are only 2 people in the hand.

8 - I actually won with KK when BB called my raise with 42 offsuit and turned 2 pair, but I flopped a set. It's never easy even when you win. All about keeping the rake up, right?

9 - I raise UTG w/ AQ offsuit, flop an Ace and get shown AK by a cold-caller.

10 - I raise w/ [Js] on the button when it is folded to me. BB calls w/ [4c]. He calls me on the flop and turn with middle pair and takes the pot.

11 - This one is the bets. Again [Js] UTG+1 and I raise. COLD-CALL BY CUTOFF! Flop is 984 of all different suits. Turn is a Q and river is 7. He calls it flop and turn bets and shows me...................[6s]. HE COLD CALLED WITH THAT HAND AND WON!

So I ask again, why raise on this site? If you must play a ring game there, just limp and call so at least you keep the rake down. Yes that was sarcasm. Any one of these plays isn't that bad, but put them all together in the same session and it's enough to make me, I don't know...........to make me write a post this obnoxious.

GOOD! Now I feel a little better.
