This beer is very good

The initial flavor is something brown sugary like newcastle or sammy boston lager followed by an enjoyable bitterness like an ipa it takes a few drinks to become truley enjoyable (swigs not bottles), but is a little thinner than I would like (not terribly though) and not quite as "bold" as it could be.

EDIT: there is also a bitter aftertaste (but dissolves quickly)...I enjoy it but others may not

Best beer so far: Belhaven Scottish Ale
Worst beer so far: Samuel Adams Double Boch

P.S. Im curious from all you beer lovers on whether you would consider belhaven better than smithwicks (pronounced smith-ick-s) cause I am quite torn as smithwicks was my previous favorite and I cant really tell which I enjoy more.

I had one warmish. I prefer cold beer. I know it is boorishly American, but I have to be me. It was still nice and the complexity came through.

Abita Turbodog is a great beer.
