I see what you are saying and I really dont care about gaining respect on this forum, it is an unachievable goal I have decided. What I am trying to do here is explain my position on these opr stats to both help others understand better ways of reading them and help myself by organizing my thoughts and putting them in a semi-concise post.

When looking at my stats you are making 2 errors as I see (again trying to be clinical here not pointing fingers). For starters you are looking at my stats for the last 120 days and not full tracking, which makes a major difference. Secondly you are not taking into full account the variables that opr puts out specifically estimated rebuy/addon losses.

1. Full tracking has always been what I go by when quoting opr, it adds to the sample size and the accuracy of determining one's skill in tournaments.

2. I play a lot of rebuys, and as such have become good at them to the point where my avg amount of rebuys total (estimate but accurate in my eyes) 4 rebuys/1 addon...often I will only put in the minimum of buyin/auto rebuy (double stacking myself once I sit) and adding on for a total of 3xBI (so 5$ rebuy I invest 15$) which makes the figure (net profit) we get from clicking off the estimated rebuy/addon feature appear larger than it actually is.

However by clicking it on we are subject to opr's estimate which I assume is higher than the minimum as the avg regular player rebuys far more often than 4 times per tourney (I have one of the lowest avg's of any player I know that plays these), thus making that figure (net profit) lower than it actually is.

Hence my insistance that my total net profit is higher than 1700$ and prolly by $800

So again, just trying to clarify things here so there isn't any unecessary ill-will

I will estimate s/n agtcool's net profit to be $2300 (mean of the w/o r/a and w/ r/a - $100) now that is $5800 total winnings (not including buyin loss) minus my buyin loss. Therefore that $1500 contributes to the 5800 total and not solely to the 2300 total if that makes sense. So its not like I won the sunday million and claim to be a highstakes superpro that has a redonkulous ROI etc etc, over the course of winning almost 6k I had a 1500$ win which is stnd after playing 226 tournaments fwiw. So its not a statistical jump as much as it looks like. To me at least.

Finally ends tl;dr I know sorry guys: to answer your last post more concisely about gaining respect thru winnings etc etc I have made it quite clear that I am a live pro, not an online pro and that I do online poker to hone my skills of fundamental poker and to clear random money from it. I know I play better than my stats show (see s/g thread where I have posted some of my best material on btp) I am a winning s/g player w/ a losing sharkscope due to various factors that I dont feel like discussing. Do I care if you believe me...hell no, I am just not letting myself be badmouthed w/o putting in my side of the argument, now that its here and readily available for people, draw your own conclusions. I have no meter to judge one good poker player from another, I know way better players than me that are flat broke, because they lack common sense.

stop giving him such a hard time. i have nothing against chuck/charlie. chuck. people are a-holes and forget them. play, improve, and think about the game and that all there is to it. i see that you take poker seriously and, really, isn't that all that matters here? if it was about win rate or whatever, then like 99% of the people here wouldn't be able to post. sure there are some long term winners, but that doesn't give license to bust anyone's chops because they're better. obviously anyone who is a winner was likely not a winner when they first started. keep posting and improving theoretical understanding and it'll pay off no matter how much people put you down.

that said, i think honest results are key to improvement. and the fact of the matter is that your online winnings is substantively affected by your 2nd place 1500 win (congrats on that btw). all i'm saying is that you might not be optimal in terms of online play and that you likely have some leakage, posting stats and key hands, while monitering tilt, is likely to get you to a more effective and consistent winrate. anyhow, gl chuck/charlie

and though it may or may not be true that you make more live or whatever. if you are playing online, you should aim to improve online. hence forget your live play, and consider your online play in a bubble. otherwise you'd be justifying poor online results with good live results. and that seems unreasonable.

I know he's sorta a pain in the testicle, but he is a philosophy grad student, and lemme tellya, pimpin aint easy when your a phil grad student...They tend to very unsuccessfully try to pimp the girls in the phil major, who are either dirty hairy hippies who think that plants have feelings too and joined a major they thought would allow them to write papers on that, or else big fat orcas who seek to prove that aesthetic beauty is basically subjective and nonexistent...
