Heres my thought on Ben and Widmore. They are connected in some "natural" way, be it "super"natural or not. I can't put it into words except to give a silly example from everyones favorite christmas cartoon. They are kind of like heat miser and cold miser. And Jacob is mother nature. They are constantly warring for possesion of the island. Each feels entitled to it, and they will stop at nothing to posses it. There are ground rules which have ben implied throughout their battle, but it is escalating and Charles has taken it to the next level. Jacob is kind of like mommy to Ben and Charles. Who knows how many times they have gone around and around in this battle and for how long their war has waged. I feel a hint of the supernatural in the end game.
Does that make any sense at all?
