If all the poker software were banned, people would just write their own. It's not really that hard to create a simple screen capturing program. Then the few that had it would have a massive advantage over the rest of us, and totally throw things out of whack. Better to just leave things how they are.

I would rather only 1% ofplayers have software instead of 75%.
Also, I dont think PT gives anyone a massive edge. I think by the time you are good enough to really know how to analyze the numbers and use them to your advantage, you no longer need it very much. Its probably a bigger help to someone playing more than 6 tables, but still I dont think the edge is massive. I mean how much edge does it really give you knowing that a guy goes to showdown exactly 28% as oppossed to thinking its 24-30%?
